Don Juan is a Punk

One of the founding concepts of Bauhaus was to reject traditional expressionism of the upper class. Ironically, Mozart's opera Don Juan is just the thing Bauhaus punks raged against -- a baroque, emotion-fueled experience featuring a wealthy playboy. To embrace these conflicting beliefs in a poster, I chose the image of a masked Don Juan. All expression is concealed behind his disguise, yet we can immediately recognize this figure is from the opera.
